Pre-Fall: Caps, Plaid, and Working Class

It’s only August, but it’s never too early to start thinking about essential wardrobe pieces for the up coming season. The working class has been a theme seen on the runways from plaids to suites and even taking inspiration from men’s blue collar working class with chic and trendy caps.

Whether it’s a baker boy, news boy, or a fishermen cap they all essentially coincide with similar aesthetics. A hat once traditionally worn by men is making its way back into the spotlight. It is in the cases when an outfit simply doesn’t look or feel complete without an added touch or accessory. Making your outfit look a bit cooler and casual, the baker boy cap is a perfect addition.

Continuing with the theme of working class, office wear is also a concept to keep an eye out for this fall. It doesn’t have to be your traditional suit, but rather taking inspiration from it. Houndstooth plaid brings back some vintage feels. The sizing of this print on a smaller scale will make it much more versatile and easier to pair with other basic pieces already in your wardrobe.
