BV Unleash New Single ‘Up in the Flesh’
Ahead of their forthcoming EP B2V Mixtape – out mid November
The elusive Sydney-based trio BV (formerly known as Black Vanilla) have released their latest single ‘Up in the Flesh’. Cementing their reputation for music for mutant dance floors, the latest track is part thundering ode to outsider dance, part soundtrack to an online BDSM chat room, and one wholly unique cut of abstract electronica for our current moment.
“They’re trained for combat. They sing. They can dance. They will work for you. Taut body, ready for play. They’re cavernous. A cavern you might curl into. Try not to fall in love with them. Substitute them for an object or otherwise neutral body in your mind. They’re not hard to please. All they want is to be used. To be wanted. Isn’t that what any of you johns want? Any of us? Call me if interested, 0455555555.”– Marcus/BV‘Up in the Flesh’ offers an unabashedly visceral glimpse of their upcoming ‘B2V’ after previous cuts ‘Huh’ and ‘Slug’ captured the attention of the internet and airwaves across the globe.
A collaborative project from producers Marcus Whale, Jarred Beeler and Lavurn Lee, BV originally came to life as a ‘live only’ concept. It quickly morphed into something suited for more than just the club and the trio self-released their first full-length, ‘Black On Black on Black’ in 2013.
Constantly evolving, BV’s latest single is an allusion to what’s to come on their highly anticipated mixtape.
